In an interview with MMA Junkie, Chris Wade said that he really wants to fight at UFC 205, which happens at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Here are highlights:

On wanting to fight at UFC 205: “I want the Garden so, so bad. I don’t care where it is. I just want – I’m born and raised in New York on Long Island, and I don’t care if it’s the prelims. I just want to get out there in front of my people and my family and just put somebody out for them.”

On his loss to Rustam Khabilov: “I’m itching right now, really bad. The way I am competitively, I was itching like three days after the fight. I felt I could have competed again a couple weeks later. I felt like the fight that I lost I kind of got more controlled, outgrappled in a couple different situations, where he won the first and third rounds with a couple of key takedowns. I felt like I got the better of the striking exchanges, so I wasn’t really beat up from the fight. But it was a step back. I had six fights in a row there that I had won, and four with the UFC.”

On wanting to fight again: “I really thought I was on the precipice of that top-15, and it’s a little bit of a step back, but I’m chomping at the bit to fight again and get back in there and put someone away.”
