DJ Files Criminal Complaint Against Conor McGregor Over Alleged Assault
The Italian DJ who Conor McGregor allegedly attacked has filed a criminal complaint against him. As reported earlier this month, the UFC fighter was accused by Italian DJ Francesco Facchinetti of punching him during a party on October 16th in Rome. Facchinetti said his neck was hurt and he suffered a cut lip as a result of the punch.
Facchinetti has now spoken with ESPN and confirmed that he filed a complaint with Italian law enforcement several days after the incident allegedly took place. He told the outlet, “It’s something about ethics, and Conor is f**king dangerous. This is a problem.”
Facchinetti said he doesn’t want McGregor jailed for the incident but does want people to know about his behavior. He noted, “He can do better than this. He can be better than this. What happens, he punches a guy tomorrow and that guy dies? What happens? What happens to MMA?”
Criminal investigations are not made public in Italy, and Facchinetti’s lawyer said he does not have access to the police report. McGregor’s team has yet to comment.
