Tony Ferguson Says He Can Outwrestle Khabib Nurmagomedov

Tony Ferguson spoke with MMAjunkie after his win over Lando Vannata at UFC Fight Night 91 last night. Some highlights are below:

On beating Vannata: “They’re not going to pull in any average Joe to come in and fight me. The guy was 8-0…But he came in and said I was predictable. You can’t predict the D’Arce is going to choke you out. That’s what I already predicted was going to happen.”

On a possible fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov: “I think I have a better chance of filing for Social Security before he comes back to fighting, because that dude goes and fights and he takes some time off. I don’t know what his issue is, but I’m here, I’m ready and I’ll take on all comers – including new guys like Landon Vannata…Khabib Nurmagomedov: You’re not going anywhere, bro. I’m a better wrestler than you. If wrestling was easy, it would be called ‘sambo.’”
