411’s Live 98th Academy Awards Results Coverage

It’s Oscar night, as the 98th annual Academy Awards are set to begin. I’m Jeremy Thomas, and I’ll be providing you with live coverage of the winners list. This year’s awards are honoring the best films of 2025 as One Battle After Another and Sinners will battle it out and Hamnet, Marty Supreme, Frankenstein and others look to pick up their own hardware. Sinners led the way in the nominations with a record 16 nods, but Paul Thomas Anderson’s film has been the leader in predictions for the biggest awards.

All that was thrown into chaos though when Sinners won big at the Actor Awards (formerly the SAG Awards) including Michael B. Jordan upsetting Leonardo DiCaprio for Best Actor. SAG makes up a hefty part of the Academy so it’s not out of the woods that we’ll see the period vampire film take home the top prize. Other favorites to win include Jessie Buckley for Hamnet in Best Actress, Weapons’ Amy Madigan for Best Supporting Actress, Frankenstein for a number of technical awards (Makeup/Hairstyling, Costume Design, Production Design), and KPop Demon Hunters for both Best Animated Film and Best Song.
