American Horror Story: 1984’s Retro Opening Credits Online

The opening credits sequence for American Horror Story: 1984 has been released, and they’re a bloody trip back to the 1980s. Ryan Murphy posted the credits sequence to Instagram, as you can see below.

The new season stars Emma Roberts, Gus Kenworthy, Angelica Ross, Cody Fern, Mitch Pileggi and Billie Lourd and premieres on September 18th. Plot details, as has been the case with previous seasons of American Horror Story, are mostly being kept under wraps. We do know, however, that the season is set in the 1980s and features a slasher named Mr. Jingles, and is set at Camp Redwood, a Crystal Lake-like summer camp.

I am so excited to share with you the new AMERICAN HORROR STORY title sequence by our longtime collaborator Kyle Cooper and our new friend Corey Vega, who ignited this concept with an original “fan" cut he posted on Twitter after the 1984 season was announced. I liked it so much, I decided to bring him on board to work together with Kyle as they evolved the concept into something major.
