DC’s long-delayed Flash film is officially moving ahead with It: Chapter Two director Andy Muschietti. Muschietti, who helmed both films in in the horror series, spoke with Fandango and confirmed that Flash will be his next film with a simple “Yep.”

The Flash has had a rocky road to getting to the screen. The movie was originally supposed to be a Flashpoint story, but it’s not known whether that’s still the case after the movie lost its director in Rick Famuyiwa. At one point, Ezra Miller was writing a new take that he would reprise his role in. Christina Hodson (Birds of Prey, Bumblebee wrote the most recent draft.

When asked if the film would contain any of the horror Muschietti is known for, he said, “An element of horror? I don’t think so. What captivated me about the Flash is the human drama in it,” he said. “The human feelings and emotions that play in the drama [of it]. It’s going to be fun, too. I can’t promise that there will be any horror [elements in it], really, but it’s a beautiful human story.”
