Bandersnatch Creator Says One Scene Will Never Be Seen By the Public
The creator of Black Mirror: Bandersnatch says there’s a disconnected scene in the film that fans will never see. Charlie Brooker spoke with THR for a piece on Netflix’s original content and said that the interactive film has one scene that ended up not connected to the rest of the potential options, and thus will never be able to be selected.
“There’s even a chunk in there that you can’t get to because we changed something, so there is a little section in the middle that will never be seen,” Brooker said. “So I was saying we should have dubbed the Beatles onto it because then we would have had a great piece of music that we didn’t have to pay for and it would be the ultimate Easter egg.”
Bandersnatch because a phenomenon when it released at the end of December, with five hours of footage and a huge amount of potential endings based on what viewers chose. Fionn Whitehead starred alongside Will Poulter in the film, which was directed by David Slade. The film’s success has inspired Netflix to move ahead with more interactive series.
