Christian Slater & More To Star In Prequel Series Dexter: Original Sin

Showtime has unveiled the main cast for their Dexter prequel series, with Christian Slater and more set to star. THR reports that Slater, Patrick Gibson and Molly Brown will star in the series, which comes from original franchise showrunner Clyde Phillips.

Phillips, who served as showrunner for the show’s second to fourth seasons, returned to the franchise with the 2021 series Dexter: New Blood. He is serving as showrunner and EP on the new series.

The prequel series stars Patrick Gibson as a young Dexter Morgan and Slater as Harry, his father. Brown will play Debra Morgan, Dexter’s sister and Harry’s daughter.

Set in 1991 Miami, Dexter: Original Sin centers on Dexter (Gibson) as he goes from student to avenging serial killer. With guidance from his father, Harry (Slater), Dexter adopts a Code designed to help him find and kill people without being discovered by law enforcement at the same time as he begins a forensics internship at the Miami Metro Police Department.
