Christopher Meloni to Voice Commissioner Gordon in Harley Quinn Animated Series

Christopher Meloni will provide the voice of Commissioner Gordon in DC Universe’s Harley Quinn animated series. Deitrich Bader, who will voice Batman, told Discussing Film that the Happy will play the commissioner in the upcoming series.
“It’s going to be a rocking good time,” said Bader. “What’s fun for me as Batman, is that I get to explore the relationship with Jim…played by Chris Meloni. They tend to bring he and I together for the sessions so that we can improvise. Chris Meloni is absolutely hilarious. He hasn’t done a lot of comedies, but man is he funny. He and I improvised a lot, and I don’t know how much they’re going to use any of that. Just wait until you see what he brings out. It’s truly hilarious. I don’t want to spoil it too much, because it’s definitely a different take than anyone has done in the history of Batman. Batman is fairly consistent throughout time, but his Jim is very different.”
Bader, who played Batman in Batman: The Brave and the Bold, added, “I love working with these new guys who are doing Harley Quinn. It’s very funny. They respect Batman, which is really nice and something I was worried about. Sometimes, when people want to do a comedy, they go too far in one direction or another. But they have a great respect for Batman. I’m just delighted to be back.”
The series will debut on DC Universe in 2019.
