Claire Declares Her Independence in New House of Cards Promo

Netflix has released a new promo for House of Cards’ final season in honor of the fourth of July. You can see the video below via the show’s Twitter account, in which Robin Wright’s Claire Underwood uses the holiday to declare her own independence.

The new season sees Claire step into the role of President after declaring at the end of season five, “It’s my turn.” Of course, it also follows Kevin Spacey’s firing from the show due to the wave of sexual assault allegations levied against him, both from within and without the production.

House of Cards does not yet have a launch date for the sixth and final season.
