Later this summer, “everything will become clear,” in Steven Spielberg’s new sci-fi motion picture, Disclosure Day. Universal Pictures dropped the newest trailer for the movie today, which you can view below.
The new trailer offers up more footage and a greater semblance of the plot, as Josh O’Connor’s character appears to be a cybersecurity expert who discovers data proving the existence of intelligent extraterrestrial life, and plans on giving full disclosure of the data to the entire world.
Meanwhile, it appears other agents and characters are desperately seeking to keep the information secret and prevent it from being leaked, such as Colin Firth’s character, who fears the knowledge could turn the world’s order on its head.
The original event film is created and directed by Spielberg, based on a story he wrote, featuring a screenplay by Jurassic Park and Jurassic World Rebirth scribe David Koepp. The feature is produced by Kristie Macosko Krieger and Spielberg for Amblin Entertainment.
Disclosure Day is executive produced by Adam Somner and Chris Brigham and stars Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson, and Colman Domingo. The movie arrives in theaters from Universal on June 12, 2026.
