Disney+ Releases Ms. Marvel Sizzle Reel, What If…? Trailer

Disney had a busy day on Thursday announcing and hyping new Disney+ series, and that includes a Ms. Marvel sizzle reel, and a What If…? trailer. You can see both below, which were released following their reveal at the Disney Investor Day 2020 presentation.

Ms. Marvel stars Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan and is written by Bisha K. Ali, who will serve as showrunner. Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, and Meera Menon will direct episodes of the show, which will show how Kamala, a 16-year-old Muslim Pakistani-American from Jersey City, gets her own powers and becomes a superhero. Vellani was also announced as reprising the role of Kamala in the upcoming Captain Marvel 2, which arrives on November 11th, 2022.

Meanwhile, What If…? is created by A.C. Bradley. Inspired on the long-running comic book series, it imagines would happen if major moments from the films of the MCU occurred differently — such as T’challa being picked up by the Ravagers instead of Peter Quill, or Peggy Carter got the super soldier serum instead of Steve Rogers. The cast of the MCU will be voicing their characters in the animated show, with Jeffrey Wright voicing Uatu, the Watcher.

What If…? is set to arrive next summer on Disney+. Ms. Marvel does not yet have a premiere date.
