Gru & The Minions Are Back in Despicable Me 4 Trailer

Despicable Me 4 is arriving this summer, and the first trailer sees Gru and his family dealing with a new threat to their safety. Universal and Illumination shared the trailer on Sunday for the film, which releases on July 3rd. You can check out out below.

The new film sees Gru (Steve Carrell) living domestic life with his wife, their girls and new baby Gru Jr., who doesn’t seem to be a fan of his father. They have to go on the run when an old enemy breaks out of prison and seeks revenge. A safe house with a vending machine, a heist featuring a honey badger encounter and more ensue.

The film is the first in the main franchise and follows up in 2017’s Despicable Me 3. Two Minions spinoffs have released in the interim, most recently 2022’s Minions: The Rise of Gru. The franchise has grossed a total of $4.6 billion worldwide from a total budget of $379 million.
