HBO Max’s Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai To Also Air on Cartoon Network

When Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai arrives on HBO Max, it won’t be the only outlet as the animated prequel will also air on Cartoon Network. THR reports that the series, along with Aquaman: King of Atlantis and Batman: Caped Crusader, will be part of a Sunday night block of entertainment called ACME Night on Cartoon Network.

The Sunday block will debut on Cartoon Network on September 19th, though that is not the premiere date for the new shows as the block will also air family-friendly movies, and Shazam! will start it off.

Secrets of the Mogwai has already been renewed for a second season and features a voice cast including Izaac Wang, James Hong, A.J. Locascio, Gabrielle Green, Ming-Na Wen, BD Wong, and Matthew Rhys. It is described as follows:

“Along with teenage street thief Elle, Sam and Gizmo take a perilous journey through the Chinese countryside, encountering, and sometimes battling, colorful monsters and spirits from Chinese folklore. On their quest to return Gizmo to his family and uncover a legendary treasure, they are pursued by a power-hungry industrialist and his growing army of evil Gremlins.”
