Hey Marshmellows, good news: you don’t have to wait another week to catch the long-awaited new season of Veronica Mars. Hulu surprised fans by releasing the new season of the Kristen Bell-led show on Friday, a week ahead of its scheduled July 26th release date. The show is currently available, with the announcement made by Bell at the show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel.

The season stars Bell, Enrico Colantoni (Keith Mars), Jason Dohring (Logan Echolls), Percy Daggs III (Wallace Fennel), Max Greenfield (Leo D’Amato), Patton Oswalt (Penn Epner), and Francis Capra (Eli “Weevil” Navarro), plus recurring stars Ryan Hansen (Dick Casablancas), David Starzyk (Richard Casablancas), Clifton Collins Jr., JK Simmons and Izabela Vidovic. It runs eight episodes and is described as follows:

Spring breakers are getting murdered in Neptune, thereby decimating the seaside town’s lifeblood tourist industry. After Mars Investigations is hired by the parents of one of the victims to find their son’s killer, Veronica is drawn into an epic eight-episode mystery that pits the enclave’s wealthy elites, who would rather put an end to the month-long bacchanalia, against a working class that relies on the cash influx that comes with being the West Coast’s answer to Daytona Beach.
