James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad To Begin Filming in September

Task Force X is gearing up to go in front of the cameras this fall, as James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad is readying for production. Geeks WorldWide reports that the film is set to kick off in September in Atlanta, with a January end date for filming. Warner Bros. has yet to confirm the news.

The new film will be directed by Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy) and stars Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Joel Kinnaman, and Margot Robbie as returnees. New faces include Idris Elba as a yet-unidentified character, David Dastmalchian as Polka-Dot Man, and and Daniela Melchior as Ratcatcher. The film is set to release on August 6th, 2021.
