John Boyega Pens Letter About Rekindling Bromance With Star Wars Co-Star Oscar Isaac
John Boyega knows that a portion of the fanbase loves his Star Wars bromance with Oscar Isaac, and he played right to them in a new video. The actor, who plays Finn in the franchise, posted the video to his Twitter and Instagram accounts playing off his friendship with Isaac. You can check it out below.
In the video, Boyega writes a letter about reuniting with Isaac. “I hope this letter finds you well,” he says in voiceover. “It’s been a fortnight since we last spoke and I must admit that I’ve missed you so. As I sit and reflect upon the adventures of Finn and Poe, I’m struck with anguish that John and Oscar have not been afforded the same caliber of companionship. During the last press tour, I put my hands on your shoulders waiting for a connection. It never came.
“I long to be reunited with you on a final press tour and show the world a bond greater than the Force. The Force from the movie we’re in — forget it. Speaking of which, it would be fantastic if you would accompany me to the premiere of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. I think I get a plus-one.
“Fare thee well, Oscar.
P.S. Bro, low-key? Sometimes I think BB-8 is just straight-up jealous of our ship, mate.”
My brother Oscar never responds to his texts so one must write him a letter ! pic.twitter.com/lHoAPKx4oU
