Lady Gaga Confirms She’s Joining Joker Sequel

It’s official: Lady Gaga is joining Todd Phillips and Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker sequel. Gaga took to her Twitter account on Thursday to confirm that she will star alongside Phoenix in Joker: Folie à Deux. You can see the video below, which doesn’t explicitly reveal Gaga’s role but is strongly implied to be that of Harley Quinn. Previous reports had suggested that’s the role Gaga will play in the film.

Harley Quinn is a major part of Warner Bros. and DC’s DC content, with Margot Robbie playing the role in several live-action films and the Harley Quinn animated series currently airing its third season.

The film is set to release in theaters on October 4th, 2024.
