Lionsgate’s The Crow remake is set to arrive in June, with Lionsgate moving the film up while bumping Ballerina to next year. Variety reports that the latter film, a John Wick spinoff, will now release on June 6th, 2025. The film’s original release date was June 7th, 2024 and the Crow remake will now fill that date.

The report notes that Ballerina director Len Wiseman is shooting some additional action sequences for the film, which necessitated its delay. Meanwhile, The Crow is completed which allowed the studio to slot a film in where Ballerina was set to bow.

The Crow is a reimagining of the original story, which first saw life as a graphic novel from James O’Barr. The film stars Bill Skarsgård as Eric Draven and FKX twigs as Shelley Webster and, like the 1994 cult classic, sees them brutally murdered before Eric is resurrected as a revenant to avenge their deaths.

Ballerina stars Ana de Armas, Anjelica Huston, Gabriel Byrne, Lance Reddick, Catalina Sandino Moreno and Norman Reedus, with Ian McShane and Keanu Reeves set to make appearances as their characters from the main John Wick franchise.
