We will get the Hawkeye and Ms. Marvel Disney+ series before the year is out, according to Marvel Studios executive Victoria Alonso. Alonso, who is the executive vice president of film production for the studio, spoke with Variety for a new interview and discussed what’s coming for the studio.

In the interview, Alonso noted that there are “a few other shows” beyond What If…? that will release before 2021 is over, with Hawkeye and Ms. Marvel specifically named. She also noted that Marvel is setting up “our animation branch and mini studio, and there will be more to come from that as well. We’re super excited about animation, which is my first love.”

Marvel has bowed three MCU shows on Disney+ thus far in WandaVision, Falcon & The Winter Soldier, and Loki. What If…? bows in August.

Hawkeye stars Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld as Clint Barton and Kate Bishop and takes place after Avengers: Endgame with Clint teaching his protege in order to take over the Hawkeye mantle. It will additionally star Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d’Arcy James, and Alaqua Cox, with Florence Pugh assumed to be appearing as Yelena Belova after her debut in Black Widow.

Meanwhile, Ms. Marvel stars Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, a 16-year-old Muslim Pakistani-American from Jersey City who writes superhero fan fiction and gains shape-shifting powers, taking on the role of Ms. Marvel. It also stars Saagar Shaikh, Aramis Knight, Matt Lintz, Zenobia Shroff, and Mohan Kapur, and Vellani is already set to again play the role in the Captain Marvel sequel The Marvels.
