Matt Reeves Confirms Andy Serkis Will Play Alfred in The Batman

Matt Reeves has continued his trend of non-chalantly confirming cast members of The Batman on social media, and this time it’s Andy Serkis. Reeves, who wrote and will direct the new DC Comics film, took to Twitter on Wednesday and shared a GIF of Serkis confirming reports that the actor will play Alfred.

Reeves previously used Twitter to confirm that Jeffrey Wright will play Commissioner Gordon, Paul Dano will play The Riddle and Zoe Kravitz will play Catwoman ion the film. Robert Pattinson stars as the titular Caped Crusader in the noir-driven film, which is set to release on June 25th, 2021.
