Miles Teller Says He’s Spoken With Tom Cruise About Top Gun 3

Top Gun: Maverick is one of the biggest hits of the year, and star Miles Teller says he’s spoken with Tom Cruise about another entry. Teller, who plays Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw in the action sequel, recently spoke with Entertainment Tonight (per Deadline and said he and Cruise have had discussions about a third film in the franchise.

“I’ve been having some conversations with [Cruise] about it,” the actor said. “We’ll see.”

If a third film does get made, it won’t be particularly surprising. Top Gun: Maverick has grossed a massive $597.4 million domestically and a massive $1.183 billion worldwide thus far and earned some of the best reviews of the year. The film, which released 36 years after the original blockbuster, brings back Cruise as Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, the former Top Gun pilot who trains Rooster and several other top combat pilots for a specialized mission. It also stars Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, and Ed Harris and was directed by Joseph Kosinski.
