Monster Hunter is set to hit theaters just before 2021 rings in, and a new video shows off a couple big creatures in Diablos and Rathalos. You can see the featurette below courtesy of IGN, which features the game’s producer Ryozo Tsujimoto and director Kaname Fujioka showing how the movie’s designs for the monsters draw inspiration straight from the game.

The film is directed by Paul W.S. Anderson and stars Milla Jovovich, Tony Jaa, Ron Perlman, T.I. Harris, Diego Boneta, Meagan Good, and Josh Helman. It opens on December 30th and is described as follows:

Monster Hunter centers on the leader of a UN military team named Artemis, played by Jovovich, who is transported to another realm populated by monsters. There she meets the Hunter (Jaa), with the two teaming up to close a portal to prevent monsters from attacking earth. The movie will be a highly stylish big-screen adaptation of the video game.
