New Thor: Love and Thunder Promo ‘Introduces’ the Characters

Thor: Love and Thunder arrives in theaters next month, and a new promo “introduces” the characters from the film. You can check out the video below for the film, which allows viewers to “meet” four characters we already know well in Thor, Valkyrie, Jane (aka the Mighty Thor), and Korg.

The film opens on July 8th and stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson, Chris Pratt, Jaimie Alexander, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Jeff Goldblum, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Christian Bale, and Russell Crowe. Directed by Taika Waititi from a script he wrote with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, it is described as follows:

The film finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.
