New Trailer for Lee Cronin’s The Mummy Delivers a Nightmarish Premise

New Line and Warner Bros. Pictures have released thee official trailer for Lee Cronin‘s The Mummy, which puts a new spin on the classic horror monster. You can check out the newly revealed trailer below.

The new trailer showcases more of the story, as the young daughter of a journalist, Katie (Natalia Grace), reappears after having gone missing for eight years. However, the joyful reunion turns into a living nightmare when the broken family is shocked by what they find.

The upcoming feature stars Jack Reynor, Laia Costa, May Calamawy, Natalie Grace, with Veronica Falcón. It’s directed by Evil Dead Rise filmmaker Cronin, and produced by James Wan, Jason Blum and John Keville. It’s executive produced by Michael Clear, Judson Scott, Macdara Kelleher and Lee Cronin.

Cronin’s sophomore feature, Evil Dead Rise, was a critical and commercial success, scoring 85% with critics on Rotten Tomatoes and earned $147 million worldwide off of a reported $19 million budget.

Lee Cronin’s The Mummy arrives in theaters and IMAX in North America on April 17. It will be released internationally starting April 15.
