Award season made its way to the Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday, where Once Upon a Time in Hollywood continued building momentum. The Quentin Tarantino film picked up four awards at the award show, including the top award for Best Picture. The period film beat out 1917, Ford v Ferrari, The Irishman, Jojo Rabbit, Joker, Little Women, Marriage Story, Parasite, and Uncut Gems for that top award, making a case for itself as a potential favorite for the Oscar chase.

Hollywood additionally picked up wins for Best Supporting Actor (Brad Pitt), Best Original Screenplay (Tarantino), and Best Production Design (Ruth E. Carter). 1917 came in second among films with three wins: a tie for Best Director for Sam Mendes (with Bong Joon Ho for Parasite), Best Cinematography (Roger Deakins), and Best Editing. 1917 was the other winner opposite Once Upon a Time in Hollywood in the Best Film categories at the Golden Globes. In addition the Best Director tie, Parasite also won Best Foreign Language film.

The acting awards went to the same winners at the Golden Globes in Joaquin Phoenix for Joker and Renée Zellweger for Judy, solidifying them as the frontrunners. Laura Dern did the same for Best Supporting Actress for Marriage Story, which was otherwise shut out. Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman continued to see its fortunes shrink after its Golden Globes shut-out, picking up only the award for Best Acting Ensemble. The genre awards went to Avengers: Endgame (Best Action Movie), Dolemite Is My Name (Best Comedy) and Us (Best Sci-Fi or Horror Movie).

Among television, Succession and Fleabag won Best Drama Series and Best Comedy Series, respectively. Succession picked up a second win thanks to Jeremy Strong, who won Best Actor in a Drama. Watchmen, which was snubbed by the Globes, won Best Actress in a Drama (Regina King) and Best Supporting Actress in a Drama (Jean Smart). Phoebe Waller-Bridge won Best Actress in a Comedy Series for Fleabag while Bill Hader won Best Actor in the genre for Barry.

While the CCA has diverged from the Academy a few times over the past few years — Roma won the top prizes last year, and La La Land took Best Picture over Moonlight — it is generally fairly in step with the Oscars. The full list of winners is below:
