The Sons of Anarchy cast members are all reuniting for a new television spinoff with a bizarre twist. FX and Hulu officially announced today that the new Sons of Anarchy spinoff, Legends, has been ordered.

The new series reunites the original SOA cast members Charlie Hunnam, Ron Perlman, Katey Sagal, Maggie Siff, Mark Boone Junior, Tommy Flanagan, Kim Coates, and Theo Rossi. The new original limited series features the original cast members in a wild “meta-thriller” that’s coming to FX and Hulu.

In Legends, the real-life world blends with the fictional one as the Sons of Anarchy cast reunites at a fan convention after more than a decade. The line between life and art soon blurs as the fractured brotherhood finds itself against a real-world threat more dangerous than one they ever faced in the TV show.

The new show was developed for the screen by Charlie Hunnam and Jonathan Groff, who also executive produce the show with Rob Mac, Nicholas Frenkel, and Jackie Cohn. The actors will be portraying themselves in the “real-world adventure.”

Speaking on the project via a press release, FX Entertainment President Nick Grad commented, “When Charlie brought us this inspired idea, we instantly sparked to his bold and entertaining vision.” He continued, “Charlie’s talents are on full display as a writer, performer, and executive producer, leading the real-life brotherhood on an adventure that is both a love letter to the series and a fun meta twist on what fans think they know.”

Legends will be produced by FX Productions and 20th Television. It will air later on FX and stream on Hulu.
