The Oscars will be without a host for a second year in a row when it airs next month. Deadline reports that ABC entertainment president Karey Burke announced during the TCA winter press tour that the 92nd Academy Awards will forego a host, repeating their decision from last year.

“Together with the Academy, we have decided there will be no traditional host, repeating for us what worked last year,” Burke said. “[It will have] huge entertainment values, big musical numbers, comedy and star power.”

Last year’s decision to go hostless came after Kevin Hart stepped down as host over past anti-LGBTQ comments and jokes he had made online which resurfaced. The award show actually saw a ratings bump.

Burke noted that they did consider a host, saying, “There was a lot of conversation which way we are going and maybe there may be a day when we decide to have a host again but the focus has been on most entertaining show.”

The 92nd Academy Awards will take place on February 9th and air live on ABC.
