New The Penguin Teaser Previews ‘Next Step’ In The Batman Saga

The Penguin arrives on Max in September, and a new teaser hints at what to expect from the spinoff series from The Batman. Max released the second teaser for the DC series on Thursday, which you can see below.

The teaser shows Oswald Cobblepot (Collin Farrell) tries to make his move in the wake of the events from The Batman. As he tries to take over the Gotham criminal underworld he seems to find a number of challenges — not the least of which is Sofia Falcone (Cristin Milioti), who is ready to take the horns of her family following Carmine Falcone’s death.

The eight-episode limited series premieres on September and comes from showrunner Lauren LeFranc. It stars Farrell, Milioti, Rhenzy Feliz (Victor Aguilar), Michael Kelly (Johnny Viti), Shohreh Aghdashloo (Nadia Maroni), Deirdre O’Connell (Francis Cobb), Clancy Brown (Salvatore Maroni), James Madio (Milos Grapa), Scott Cohen (Luca Falcone), Michael Zegen (Alberto Falcone), Carmen Ejogo (Eve Karlo), and Theo Rossi (Dr. Julian Rush).
