Ron Perlman To Voice Optimus Primal In Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts has found its Optimus Primal in none other than Ron Perlman. Collider reports that the Hellboy and Sons of Anarchy star will voice the leader of the Maximals in the upcoming seventh film in the franchise. Perlman voiced the character in the 2018 animated series Transformers: Power of the Primes.

Perlman joins a cast that includes Anthony Ramos and Dominque Fishback in the roles of the main human characters along with Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime. The Steven Caple Jr.-directed film will introduce the Beast Wars and will feature Predacons, Maximals, and Terrorcons joining the existing conflict between Autobots and Decepticons. It is set for a July 24th, 2022 release date.
