The Spartacus saga continues in a new trailer for the upcoming series, Spartacus: House of Ashur. Starz debuted a brand-new trailer today for the upcoming “outrageous” new chapter in the blood-soaked world of Spartacus.
The green-band trailer can be viewed below. Meanwhile, the red-band trailer is available HERE.
The new series is a reimagined alternate timeline, where Ashur (the returning Nick E. Tarabay) survived the events of the original series. Now Ashur has become the Dominus and master of his own House. Now, Ashur must seize power and gouge out a place for his new nobility in a new arena full of violence, desire, and twisted loyalty.
The new trailer showcases some of the new players in the upcoming series, including Ashur’s battle-hardened gladiator trainer, Korris (Graham McTavish), the determined gladiatrix Achillia (Tenika Davis), and the ambitious Tarchon (Jordi Webber). On the side of the Roman Empire is Julius Caesar (Jackson Gallagher) and his wife Cornelia (Jaime Slater), who join the cast of gladiators, nobles, villains, and manipulators, all vying for power.
Other new cast members also featured in the trailer include Jamaica Vaughan as Hilara, Ivana Baquero as Messia, Claudia Black as Cossutia, India Shaw-Smith as Viridia, and Leigh Gill as Satyrus. Spartacus series creator, writer, and executive producer Steven S. DeKnight serves as showrunner and executive producer of Spartacus: House of Ashur. Rick Jacobson and Aaron Helbing also serve as executive producers.
Spartacus: House of Ashur is produced by Lionsgate Television and Starz. The series debuts on Starz on December 5.
