Dominic Monaghan Says Only J.J. Abrams Knows the Title for Star Wars: Episode IX
While he was interacting with fans on Instagram, Star Wars: Episode IX actor Dominic Monaghan was asked about the title for the film. Monaghan revealed in response that only director J.J. Abrams knows what the title is at the moment.
A fan asked Monaghan, “Episode IX title? Pretty please?” Monaghan replied, “Only J.J. Abrams knows! It’s good to have secrets on Star Wars.” Monaghan was recently cast in the film last year, but his role is still unknown.
Currently, the title for Star Wars: Episode IX is still a mystery. The film is due to arrive later this December. With Star Wars Celebration set for April in Chicago, that would make sense as a fitting location to debut some type of teaser, trailer and/or announce the title for the film.
Additionally, Star Wars actor Mark Hamill recently teased fans on Twitter over the title earlier this month, writing that it was Episode IX: Yoda’s Bar Mitzvah.
The upcoming film opens on December 20th, 2019. It stars Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo, Billie Lourd, Naomi Ackie, Richard E. Grant, Dominic Monaghan, Matt Smith, Keri Russell, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, the late Carrie Fisher, and Billy Dee Williams.
