Starz Renews Heels For A Second Season

The Wrap reports that Starz has renewed their hit series Heels for a second season, which will begin production in 2022. It was also reported that Trey Tucker and Robby Ramos, who play Bobby Pin and Diego Cottonmouth, respectively, have been promoted to series regulars.

Starz CEO and President Jeffrey Hirsch said: “It’s clear from the critical and fan acclaim that the stories and characters from the Duffy Wrestling League have made a connection with audiences bringing a community that is not often found to premium TV. I’m excited for our amazing cast and executive producers to get back into the ring together for a second season.”

Mike O’Malley will continue on as the showrunner and executive producer, as well as playing Charlie Gully on the series. Heels was created by Michael Waldron and stars Stephen Amell, Alexander Ludwig, Alison Luff, Mary McCormack, Kelli Berglund, Allen Maldonado, James Harrison, Roxton Garcia and Chris Bauer. Waldron is also the writer and executive producer. Other executive producers include Peter Segal, Julie Yorn, Christopher Donnelly and Patrick Walmsley.

The series follows a Georgia family-owned wrestling promotion as two brothers (Amell and Ludwig) fight in the ring and out over their late father’s legacy.
