Stephen Amell Banters Back At John Cena Over Peacemaker’s Green Arrow Reference

Green Arrow got a shoutout in Peacemaker (albeit a needling one), and Stephen Amell threw a little bit of that back to John Cena on social media. The season finale of the show had a reference to Green Arrow when Cena’s titular character quipped that the DC archer “goes to Brony conventions dressed as the back half of Twilight Sparkle with a four-inch-wide butthole drilled in the costume.”

Whether true or not, the joke has been perceived by some online as being a reference to a couple of photos Amell has posted on social media, one of which was him with a large My Little Pony doll he won for his daughter at a fair while the other was him accepting a gift of fan art with Rainbow Dash and Oliver Queen.

A journalist brought the joke to Amell’s attention, asking if he’d seen it. Amell, who is gearing up for production of Heels season two, replied:

“Haven’t seen it. Too busy showing Cena what professional wrestling should actually look like on TV.”
