Creed II - Rocky

When Creed III arrives next year, it will be short a boxer in Sylvester Stallone’s iconic Rocky Balboa. Sylvester Stallone has confirmed on Instagram that he will not be reprising his role as the boxer in the third film. Stallone wrote in response to a fan (per JoBlo), “[The movie] will be done but I won’t be in it. Keep punching.”

It was confirmed last month that Michael B. Jordan will direct Creed III, which MGM will release on Thanksgiving 2022. Keenan Coogler and Zach Baylin are writing the script from Ryan Coogler’s story outline.

As noted last week, Stallone revealed that he is writing a prequel series that will explore Rocky’s earlier days. No word on where or if it might be produced.
