Temuera Morrison to Play Boba Fett in The Mandalorian Season Two

Boba Fett is making an appearance in season two of The Mandalorian, with Temuera Morrison taking on the role. THR reports that Morrison, who played Jango Fett in Attack of the Clones, will play Boba who has a “small role” in the second season. He was previously teased in season one’s episode five, “The Gunslinger.”

Boba Fett wears Mandalorian armor, but whether he’s actually a member of the same clan as Pedro Pascal’s titular character has often been confusing. While some canon sources suggest that he is Mandalorian, others don’t such as a tweet on the Star Wars account from last June (as seen below) explicitly labeled him as a “non-Mandalorian.”

Morrison joins a cast that includes Pascal, Gina Carano, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Carl Weathers, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog, Nick Nolte, Julia Jones, Ming-Na Wen, Bill Burr, Rosario Dawson and Michael Biehn. The second season is set to premiere this fall.
