It’s been a long time since Jason Momoa was involved with the long-in-development hell Crow reboot, but test footage of the actor in character has now come online. Filmmaker Ryan Unicomb shared a couple of clips of Momoa in makeup as Eric Draven from the reboot, which he was involved with for a few years before departing it along with director Corin Hardy in 2018.

The planned reboot of the franchise went through a host of talent over the years. Originally announced back in 2008 with Stephen Norrington involved, Relativity Media picked up the rights but Norrington left in 2011. Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later), Francisco Javier Gutiérrez (Before the Fall), and Hardy (The Hallow) have all been attached to write and direct over the years while Bradley Cooper, Mark Wahlberg, Luke Evans, Jack Huston, Jason Momoa were all set to play the lead at times. The film went through issues with Relativity’s bankruptcy and was revived afterward, only to be on hold after Momoa and Hardy exited the project.

The film was reported to be back in development in January of 2020 with Samuel Hadida’s Davis Films, Highland Film Group and Electric Shadow all involved, but there’s been no word of the project since and its status is unknown.
