Warner Bros has unleashed the trailer for Wonder Woman 1984, revealing a few big plot points and the return of Steve Trevor. You can check out the trailer below for the DC Extended Universe film, which stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Pedro Pascal, and Kristen Wiig and opens on June 5th, 2020.

The new trailer sees Diana (Gadot) in the titular year, making friends with Wiig’s Barbara Ann Minerva while Pascal’s Maxwell Lord rules the corporate world. Set to an instrumental version of New Order’s “Blue Monday,” the preview turns our Themiscyrian hero around when Steve Trevor — who, if you will recall, died during World War I at the end of Wonder Woman — suddenly turns up. While it’s not clear how that happens, the trailer seems to suggest that Lord is somehow involved in it.

The preview also features plenty of Diana fighting crime, albeit while hiding her presence via the destruction of security cameras, as well as an apparent return to her homeland where she has some new armor.

The first Wonder Woman was a massive success for Warner Bros. and DC, scoring $412.6 million domestically and $821.1 million worldwide and the best reviews and audience scores in the DCEU to date.
