Todd McFarlane is currently in development of not just one, but two animated series adaptations of Spawn. McFarlane spoke with ComicBook.com for a new interview and revealed that he has two animated series in development currently.

“We’re talking right now,” McFarlane said. “I just had a couple of meetings this weekend about a couple of different animation looks, both something that we can get kids in at a younger age and then get them into the sort of crack cocaine version of Spawn. And then do the adult one. So we’re talking about that. I think both of those come after the movie.”

McFarlane is the creator of the iconic Image Comic series and character, which previously had a three-season animated series on HBO and a live-action 1997 film through New Line Cinema. McFarlane has also been trying to get a live-action film off the ground, but said he has been trying to get financing properly lined up.
