Tony Todd isn’t upset about Jordan Peele’s Candyman “spiritual sequel” not involving him. Todd took to Twitter to give his blessing to the film after it revealed that Aquaman co-star Yahya Abdul-Mateen will play the role of the Candyman in the film, which Peele is producing and Nic DaCosta is directing.
In his post, Todd praised the character and the good that playing the role has done to his life. He wished the new film good luck and praised it, as you can see below. The film is set to release on June 12th, 2020 with production kicking off next spring.
