Trademark Filed For Fresh Princess By Company That Owns Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

TMZ reports that the company that owns the rights to Fresh Prince of Bel-Air has filed trademark applications for the rights to Fresh Princess for a TV program and nearly every other media platform. They also want to trademark it for merchandise like bags, backpacks, animal collars, clothing and footwear. This could mean a gender-swapped reboot is on the way, but this hasn’t been confirmed.

The company previously filed trademarks for Fresh Prince toys, which led to rumors that a cartoon version was coming. Will Smith praised the idea at time. There’s no word on if he would be involved with any kind of reboot.
