Warner Bros. Seeking Female Director For Supergirl Movie

Warner Bros. is reportedly on the hunt for a female director to helm their planned Supergirl movie. Deadline reports that following the success of Patty Jenkins’ work on Wonder Woman, the studio is looking for a woman to take the director’s chair for the recently-reported film.

The stuidio has been bringing on women to direct several of their DC-related projects as of late. Ava DuVernay is on board to direct a New Gods adaptation, while Cathy Yan will direct the Birds of Prey movie. Jenkins is back behind the camera for Wonder Woman 1984.

Oren Uziel (22 Jump Street) will write the Supergirl movie, which is still in the early stages.
