Zawe Ashton Set to Play Villain In Captain Marvel 2

Deadline reports that Zawe Ashton (Velvet Buzzsaw) is set to play the villain in Captain Marvel 2 opposite Brie Larson. The exact identity of the villain remains unknown, but Ashton is expected to play the film’s main villain.
Nia DaCosta, director of the Candyman reboot, is set to direct, while Megan McDonnell, the story editor of WandaVision, wrote the script.
The cast also includes Iman Vellani and Teyonah Parris.
Captain Marvel 2 is due out on November 11th, 2022. The first film grossed $1.13 billion worldwide in 2019.
