The writers of Zombieland are continuing to share script pages from their original ideas for cameos in the film before Bill Murray came on board including Mark Hamill, Joe Pesci and Sylvester Stallone. As previously reported, Paul Wernick shared pages for their original planned cameo which was for Patrick Swayze. That scene never happened because Swayze was diagnosed with cancer before they could offer the role to him, so they wrote “a dozen or so” alternate celebrity cameo scenes and Murray was of course the one that was ultimately shot.

The new scenes feature shared by Wernick featured the foursome finding their way into Hamill’s home, and Tallahassee turns out to be a big Luke Skywalker fan. A zombified Hamill eventually appears after a lot of Star Wars jokes, and it leads into a light saber fight.

Wernick noted that “Bill Murray hadn’t yet been mentioned, for we would have never in our wildest imagination thought we could get him. So we used the force. And got a forceful f**k no.”

In addition, Rhett Reese who co-wrote the film with Wernick shared pages from both the Stallone and Pesci scenes. Again, in both scenes (as in the Murray scene), Tallahassee is a big fan of the actors thanks to either First Blood or Goodfellas. Both scenes feature zombified versions of the stars who must then be put down amidst references to their film resumes.
