Kanye West Claims Kim Kardashian Tried to Lock Him Up, Compares Life to Get Out in Twitter Rant
Kanye West accused wife Kim Kardashian-West of trying to lock him up, compared his life to the horror film Get Out and more in a worrying Twitter rant on Monday night. West, who is running for president and promoting his new album Donda that drops on Friday, posted an extensive series of tweets on Monday that took aim at Kardashian-West, her mother Kris Jenner, Vogue publisher Anna Wintour, Shia LeBeough, Drake, and more.
The tweets, some of which are deleted, follow the first rally for his presidential campaign that took place in South Carolina on Sunday. People reports that it was a surreal affair, with West wearing a bulletproof vest and appearing with “2020” shaved into his hairline as he breaking down after revealing that he and Kardashian-West discussed whether to have an abortion when she became pregnant with their first child North. He also claimed that “Harriet Tubman never actually freed the slaves, she just had them work for other white people” and said that while he supports the right to abortion, there should be financial incentives and that “The maximum increase would be everybody that has a baby gets a million dollars or something in that range.” He also said suggested that Kardashian-West may want to divorce him after the revelation and screamed “I almost killed my daughter! I almost killed my daughter!”
West fueled speculation about his mental status both with the rally and the Twitter rant. Many of the tweets have since been deleted, but Uproxx reports that among them were claims that “Kim tried to bring a doctor to lock me up” after his rally. He took shots at his wife by saying that he “put my life on the line that North’s mom would never photograph her doing playboy and that’s on God I’m at the ranch… come get me.” He also referred to Kardashian-West’s famous sex tape as her “sex rape” and said, “Everybody knows that the movie Get Out is about me.” He accused Jenner of being involved in trying to lock him up and shared a screenshot of a text from him to her, accusing her of avoiding his calls.
West also said that “NBC locked up Bill Cosby” and that Wintour “looked at me like I was crazy” when he told her about Gap deal. You can see a full set of screenshots of the tweets below.
Not everything West posted to Twitter read like a worrying rant though. He also promoted his upcoming album, which he said he is planning to release on Friday, with a new tracklist. As Uproxx notes, one track is titled “Space X – Alien” which may be a reference to SpaceX, owned by Elon Musk. Musk has publicly stated his support for West’s campaign.
In the midst of all of this, Dave Chapelle flew to Wyoming to visit West, and the rapper posted video of the comedian at his ranch today.
