411’s TNA Impact Report 1.04.07
-We get a video package from last week’s show.
-Joe storms into Cornette’s office and wants Angle tonight. Cornette says Angle has a match, and Joe better not mess it up. People have gotten hurt and he wants Joe to leave the building. Joe isn’t here to hurt anyone else but Kurt. Kurt started something and he will finish it.
-Tenay and West welcome us to the show. They hype the upcoming PPV and he says some more announcements are coming.
-Roode tells Brooks to leave, probably to go and give Eric another hummer. Remember, Russo LOVES “Hummers.”
Rhino vs. Robert Roode w/Miss Brooks
Lock up and a hammerlock by Roode. Rhino escapes and slaps the piss out of him. Rights by Rhino, and a headlock. Off the ropes and a shoulder block by Rhino. He blocks a hip toss and clotheslines Roode. Roode decides to take a powder. Back in and a lock up, to the corner and rights by Roode. Chops by Rhino, rights and slams Roode to the corner. Rhino chokes him out now, Irish whip and Roode reverses and Rhino hits the corner hard. Boots by Roode, rights and then chops. Snap mare and the rolling Hennig neck snap. Roode celebrates, Rhino back with rights. Off the ropes and a clothesline by Rhino. Irish whip and a corner gore by Rhino. Off the ropes again and a spinebuster to Roode. Rhino sets for the gore…Brooks is out all disheveled and Rhino grabs her, Roode tries to break it up and gets rolled up for the pin, because evil is dumb.
Winner: Rhino @ 3:00 via pin
-Roode yells at Brooks after the match. She is sorry but he doesn’t care.
-Styles is out to attack Rhino now. Into the ring and kicks by AJ. He charges Rhino but eats a belly to belly. Rhino tries to gore him, but Roode is back and beats down Rhino. He and AJ double-team him, and Roode tells AJ to finish Rhino and he delivers the Clash. He and Roode celebrate.
-JB is outside Cornette’s office and EY is there. EY says a “friend” has an issue with a woman. He denies it is about him and Brooks. The “friend” is not skilled in these areas, and JB is the love doctor. Brooks is here, and not disheveled anymore. She threatens to fire him again, and EY hits up JB for some cash.
-Back from commercial and JB is with Joe. He tells Angle that for 4-weeks he tried to get Joe’s attention. But Angle is a coward and couldn’t accept Joe was better and had to make it personal by hurting something Joe loves. Final Resolution is 10-days away, an eternity. He is supposed to leave, he will, but after his job is done.
-The VKM comes to the ring. They have sombreros on and bullets. BG doesn’t trust Kip on the mic. They argue but BG says it will all be ok. He calls out Vince saying it has been 4-weeks and nothing has been answered in regards to the Million Dollar Challenge. The longer he ignores them the bigger the problem will get. Kip has a blow horn and they fight over it. Yeah. BG reiterates the challenge and says there is $1-million for “Vince’s Boys” if they are the men they claim to be. Apparently operation “WWE Live Event” was not a total success. They got their attention, a fruity smile and wave at the event. That wasn’t the answer they wanted. One thing they did find out was that they have to step up their game a notch. Now they turn their attention to HBK. They know he works a light schedule. He has a lot of free time in San Antonio. This Wednesday they call him out, to the Alamo, high noon. If HBK has the stones he can collect the $1-million. They will be the idiots wearing what they are right now. They promise footage next week for the crowd. Well that was a waste of 5-minutes.
-PCS time. Musical Chairs. Nash sings Amazing Grace. Then Swing Low. Senshi refuses to play and just sits. He then gets up and is gone. Shelley is next gone. Starr wins as Juice Head Sonjay loses. No Backlund rules this week, I am disappointed.
-Back from commercial and JB was with Gail Kim earlier today. She is so hot. She has been with AMW for over a year, but the last 5-months have been hard. She thought they had everything worked out, but Storm betrayed them and she has no explanation. AMW was so successful, and Storm is here with his own chair. Storm is hilarious here and Gail wants to know what got into him. He says TNA has no women’s division and she has no place here. Storm takes JB out and tells Gail there is nothing for her and she should to back to the Golden Wok. He says Chris is not coming back and she has 7-days to answer him, what ever the mystery question is. I guess she has to choose between them.
LUCHA CALLEJERA: Homicide vs. Runt
This would be a Mexican Street Fight for those wondering. Runt attacks during the entrance. They brawl and Runt gets a huge dive off the top to the floor. He wraps a chair around his head and slams it off of the post. He then chokes him out with the wire and delivers elbows. He charges Homicide but eats a backdrop on the ramp. Homicide gets a ladder and throws it on Runt. SICK chair shot by Homicide. Homicide tosses the ladder back in and LAX vs. 3D is confirmed for the PPV. Back in the ring and Runt gets an Acid Drop. He is bleeding from the head and Hernandez is out as Konnan distracts the ref. BORDER TOSS ONTO THE LADDER BY HERNENDEZ~! 1…2…3.
Winner: Homicide @ 2:31 via pin
-Konnan tells LAX to destroy Runt. 3D is here to stop them and they run them off.
-We get a video package highlighting the X-Division 3-Way Match between Lynn, Sabin and Daniels ©.
-Back from commercial and we have Abyss and Mitchell outside the prison. Abyss screams like a true freak as Mitchell yells at him and calls him an idiot. Mitchell says the bonds with Sting will be broken. Cage and Tomko only know a little bit, but he knows the whole story. He slaps Abyss and says it is a story on blood, horror and betrayal. Full of unforgivable sin. Mitchell tells Abyss not to make him come back here. Abyss has to make a decision, he cannot escape his past. Mitchell has held the secret, and if he isn’t shown respect, he will come back here. Abyss slams him into the fence and screams. Mitchell was tremendous there.
-Cornette is on the big screen. He knows Cage will not like this, but since Tomko keeps getting involved, Tomko will be banned from ringside at the PPV. Cage is pissed.
-As Angle makes his entrance, Joe attacks him! They brawl at ringside and Joe just beats him down. Angle fights back and chokes out Joe with his velvet hoodie~! Joe battles back and Joe slams Angle over the announce table and into Tenay. Joe slams Angle into the steel post and then into the crowd. As they brawl we head to a commercial.
-Back from commercial and they are still trying to separate Angle and Joe. Cornette says to let them fight, and tells security to just to protect the fans. They brawl to the back and outside. We see them brawling and Angle nails Joe with a chair! Angle chokes Joe with his shirt now. ANKLE LOCK by Angle, but Joe escapes and gets slammed into a wall. Joe nails Angle with a chair shot. More brawling and Joe rips at Angle’s eyes. Joe now slams Angle to a door. Angle trips him up and gets the Ankle Lock again! Joe kicks Angle into a door and then slams his head repeatedly off the steel door. Angle now uses some extra stage stuff and beats down Joe. Joe manages to whip Angle into another door and hits him with a wet floor sign. PLASTIC~! They brawl outside and Joe slams him into a wooden pallet. Joe bites Angle on the head and we brawl near a random table! Angle fights back and slams Joe to the table. Uppercuts now and DON HARRIS is here to try and break things up by Joe slams Angle through the table.
-Back from commercial and Cornette is here and Angle is in the ring. Joe is back and they brawl more. Security tries to break it up and fail so bad. Joe gets a choke but Angle escapes and Cornette yells for them to be separated. He then says if they want to fight so bad, they will have a 30-minute Iron Man Match at the PPV, best man wins. Yes, this blood feud is so heated that they will decide shit in a 30-minute Iron Man match.
-Cage runs out and Tomko makes the dude ring the bell. They brawl and Tomko is in to help beat down Angle. LIGHTS OUT…Sting is here! He battles Cage and Angle gets a German on Tomko.
-Sting and Angle stand tall.
