Adam Copeland, Christian Cage Retain Tag Titles On AEW Dynamite

Adam Copeland and Christian Cage remain your AEW World Tag Team Champions, successfully defending the titles against the Death Riders on this week’s AEW Dynamite. Cope and Cage put their titles on the line on Wednesday’s show against Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia.

The nearly 12-minute match saw the two Death Riders isolate Copeland in the middle part of the match and wear him down. Copeland was eventually able to escape after biting Yuta’s forehead and tagged in Cage, who cleaned house. The finish came when Yuta tried to tear off a turnbuckle pad and while the ref was distracted, Cage hit Garcia with a low blow. Copeland hit a spear to get the pin and retain the titles.

You can see clips from the AEW Dynamite match below. After the match, the Dogs and Claudio Castagnoli attacked the champions, but the Bang Bang Gang made the save.

Adam Copeland and Christian Cage have been the champions for 53 days, having defeated FTR for them at AEW Double Or Nothing.
