AJ Francis Defends Carlos Silva Pulling TNA Talent From Indie Shows

AJ Francis has come to Carlos Silva’s defense over his pulling TNA talent from indie matches against AEW stars. As noted, Silva pulled Leon Slater from a scheduled match against Ricochet at WrestleCon Supershow, and Nic Nemeth from a match with MJF at CAP Monumental Moments on May 1st.

Silva spoke about the decision, noting that it’s a hard decision but adding that “other folks come at us and they’ve moved into our nights, they’ve made some decisions, they’ve tried to block us in arenas and venues.” He said that he understood it but they weren’t “just gonna lie down and not make decisions that are good for our business.”

Francis, who is a member of the TNA roster, posted to Twitter and asserted that Silva didn’t have to explain himself. When a fan asked if he thought Silva was wrong for his decision, Francis wrote:

“No, because nobody had a problem w/ AEW not allowing Powerhouse Hobbs to lose to me at 4th Rope even though the next night in the SAME BUILDING I was in a SOLD OUT MAIN EVENT vs Nic Nemeth for the TNA WORLD TITLE… cut that victim bulls**t out. Every company protects interests.”
