A new report has a little more detail on TNA pulling talent from independent shows over WrestleMania weekend and beyond. As reported earlier this month, TNA instituted a new policy restricting talent from working a number of independent shows in which they were scheduled to face AEW talent. That included Moose being pulled from MLP Multiverse, Leon Slater being pulled from his match with Ricochet at WrestleCon’s Mark Hitchcock Memorial Supershow, and Nic Nemeth no longer being allowed to face MJF at Create a Pro Wrestling’s Monumental Moment on May 1st.

The reports had said that TNA was not pleased with the fact that AEW ran Collision opposite of TNA Impact a couple of weeks ago, and Fightful Select confirms in its latest Fightful Select Answers Q&A that TNA President Carlos Silva told people that he didn’t like AEW putting Collision on Thursday. As has been noted, that was a decision by Warner Bros. Discovery and not AEW, who would have been happy with running on Saturday where they had the NCAA March Madness as a lead-in (which would have boosted the ratings).

The report by Sean Ross Sapp pointed out that if AEW was able to make the decision, they likely would have run on Thursdays some time ago.

MJF has been critical of TNA pulling Nemeth from their match, blasting the company and Carlos Silva on social media. MJF will now host an open challenge at CAP Monumental Moment while Nemeth will face Bear Bronson.
