AJ Styles says that Shinsuke Nakamura was not a fan of the amount of low blows he had to deliver during their feud in 2018. Styles and Nakamura feuded over the WWE Championship from WrestleMania 34 until Money in the Bank in June. The feud featured Nakamura hitting Styles with a low blow after his loss at WrestleMania, and it continued throughout the rivalry.

Styles spoke about his matches with Nakamura in an appearance on Talk’n Shop. he recalled that Nakamura hated that part of the feud and looked back at their WrestleKingdom 10 and Saturday Night’s Main Event matches. You can see the highlights below (per Fightful):

On Their Wrestle Kingdom 10 Match Being Among His Favorites:

“It’s definitely up there. But then we had that Saturday Night’s Main Event match… I felt that one. Very similar to the kind of match that we had at Wrestle Kingdom, and I was like, ‘Man, if we pull this off, this is gonna be freaking good.’”

On the Low Blows In Their 2018 Feud:

“He’d rather you guys forget about the nut shot feast that we had. He hated it. That (WrestleMania 34) was the first one. That was the first nut shot. He just hit nuts, you know? Luckily I had all my kids by then and so it didn’t matter.”
